Part two: Almost due

So the other night we did part two of one of my best friend's (Kayla) maternity session. We did this one about a month ago when her baby bump wasn't quite so showy. =)

Kayla is a beautiful person inside and out and I know she and Mark are going to make such amazing parents! They've got "mom" and "dad" written all over them! Both are so great with kids. Anyway, I can't wait to meet baby Journey and get to know her. I know she's going to be just a beautiful as her momma... (yes, you're beautiful too Mark.)

This first one is in the nursery. It's so cute. It's based around the kids' book "Guess How Much I Love You" which is Kayla's favorite.

Getting these blocks in order proved to be a pretty hefty task! Go ahead and laugh. We finally got it though.

I love how Mark is checking out his hot wife here. =)

I snuck this one of Mark while he wasn't looking. I like to think he's pondering the meaning of life and thinking about his two girls. In all honesty, he was probably thinking "enough pictures already! UGH!"

Love you guys!

Freckle Face Strawberry

My best friend is having a baby girl and I am just pretty doggone excited for her! =) We're doing her actual maternity session in about a month but I am helping throw her a shower later this month and wanted to have some belly shots to show off at it. The theme is based off a fun kids' book called "Freckle Face Strawberry" which I think is just about right for Kayla. I can say that, because I'm a freckle face too!

This session was at noon so it was ridiculously hot and bright. Mark and Kayla were total troopers though and didn't even complain once. We'll definitely be shooting the next one at night though.

Kayla has such a beautiful belly and totally rocks the pregnant look. Can't wait to see how big she is for the next round!

Hi baby!

This may be my favorite shot of the day...

They are going to make such good parents.

They were cracking me up before this shot! Kayla made Mark take stuff out of his pocket and get situated just right before she laid down on his lap. Cute.

Another favorite.

Ah, finally some shade!

Mark is such a good artist so I had to have him finger paint a strawberry on her belly for the shower.

The end. Stay tuned though, because you'll be seeing a lot of these two and the new little one coming up soon! I can't wait!
